Kerala 2017

Kerala was really pure love. Immediately felt in love with the city and culture.Went with a cousin of mine. Just the two of us so it made our trip very much easier and less stressful because we were both 'cincai' people.

We landed in cochin then we went straight to Munnar. Oh God i must say the journey was really terrible. The winding roads. But when we reached our hotel, it was totally worth the journey. Beautiful hotel, Beautiful place and friendly hotel staffs. Perfect service. We stay in The Leaf Resort, Munnar. However, on the way we stopped by Periyar Garden Spice and bought ourselves some Ayurveda products.

THE LEAF RESORT, MUNNAR

our standard deluxe room

We spend our first two days in Munnar. We went to the famous Kannan Devan Tea Estate. I am a coffee-tea toodler so i enjoy all flavours of tea. We also bought a personalise mug. The staffs actually took us to the tea estate area to snap a picture of us and made a mug for us. We also went for the kathakali show and a traditional 1.30 hours kerala body massage, Owh boy! How i wish i can have that massage everyday. So relaxing.

The next day (our third day) we left to allapey to stay in the boat house. That was about 4-5 hours journey from munnar. We checked in our houseboat about 12.30PM. Staying in the houseboat really reminds me about Vinaithaandi Varuvaaya. So beautiful scenery along the houseboat. It is really a must thing to do when you are in Kerala. The houseboat stay was simple amazing! (P/S: I would actually go again just for the scenery and food) our in house chefs were too good!

We also had another session of body massage in allapey. Not as satisfying as the one we had in munnar but it was okay. We checked out the next morning and left for cochin. We stay in cochin for two days, The journey from allapey to cochin was about 2-3 hours and the roads we all okay.

On the way we stopped by a Shivan temple and Chotakarrani Amman Temple. We also went to St Francis Church and the chinese fishing net and also some museum. Lol. We did some major shopping in cochin. One is in The Chennai Silks another one in Sangeetha Silks. I must say the sarees in Sangeetha Silks is totally worth it. I bought all the kerala saree that i have never seen here. So beautiful designs and the price too. Way much cheaper,

The last day we spend our whole day in Lulu Mall, Cochin. Major Lakme and book shopping happened. As usual i got my Lakme stocks :) Then we proceeded to our hotel and for check out. Our driver for our whole tour was really good. Took us to all the good shops and he was very friendly. We also met his wife and daughter. Overall it was a good tour. and the city is really god's own country. I will definitely go back!!!
