Image
Hi Ladies, got this Lakme Lipstick in India. Well, you people should know that I am a Lakme Fanatic by now :-P . Got this from Saravana Store in T Nagar. The sales girl suggested me this with another couple of colours. But this particular one caught my eye. and am in love with this! Can't really recall how much i bought it from India [ I BOUGHT TONS OF MAKE UP STUFF] hence that is why i cannot remember. But the good thing is this is available in Malaysia as well. *dances around* . Only Lakme fanatics will understand the joy. This colour fits perfectly for me and it it long lasting too. After a meal i don't have to touch up. yay! I will definitely repurchase this. Worth the buy :)

Make up #17 [EYES]: Lakme Absolute Gloss Artist

Got this beauty in India at Saravana Store, Chennai. As usual whenever i go to India, I will get ample of lakme products back home with me. The sales girl suggested me this eyeliner. Bought it. Came back home and used it after a week. And i must say it was worth the purchase! The black liquid eyeliner draws perfectly on your upper eyelid. The liquid does not get into your eyes unlike how certain liquid eyeliners goes into your eye and cause an irritation. This no! It sticks perfectly as how you draw it and it is long lasting as well. I had to like use force to scrub the liner out of my eyes. Perfect eye make up for your upper eye lid. In Malaysia, you'll be able to get it in Mid valley or KLCC Guardian :)  Rating: 5/5

Chennai 2016

Image
This is a long overdue post :-P Went to Chennai in May for shopping. Least did we expect that we will be going to Chennai to shop for my brother's wedding. That plan wasn't even on our minds. It just happen unexpectedly and all of a sudden. This is my second trip to India but my first trip to south India. Covered North India when i went there first. This trip was mainly for shopping. So we booked a hotel nearby T Nagar. 5 minute drive. All we did during our 5 days Chennai trip was shop. We would enjoy our hotel breakfast in the morning, then shop, then lunch, then shop again, then dinner and back to the hotel.  The weather was terribly hot but that did not stop us shopaholics :-P You actually get very good deals and choices too. Obviously, the exchange rate made a huge difference. I went crazy seeing all those sarees and suits. I thought it was really a waste of money to fly all the way to Chennai to get sarees. But i was wrong. Apart from shopping, we did visited some near...

Make up #16 [Lips]: L'Oreal Paris Star Red Collection => Pure Rouge

Image
Ever since this range of red lip colours came out, I was eyeing for it. But sadly this range is not available in Malaysia. So during my recent trip to India, this was a MUST PURCHASE in my list. I was contemplating between Freida''s Pure Rouge and Sonam's Pure garnet. However, Aishwarya's Pure Brick did not suit me. I did try all 7 seven shades. And yes, the salesgirl was extremely friendly and helpful. I am red addict and finally i decided to take pure rouge. P/S: Now, I regretted, Should have taken pure rouge and pure garnet :-P This is how the colour looks. Picture a bit blur. Sorry. But it is one of those red lip colour that i will only use on my date nights :-P It is long lasting. Lasted even after meal and drinks. There is no need t even touch up. It really brings out the woman in you. Kudos to Star Red Collection. Definitely a yes for a repurchase, I probably need to fly to India to repurchase this :-P but it is totally worth the cash. Price: 995 INR. I...

Make up #10 [EYES]: Lakme Kajal

Image
RM 5.90 I am pretty sure you all know how much i love lakme make ups! Most of my make ups are from lakme and despite having so many eyeliners, i will still get one whenever something attracts me. Looks like i love collecting eyeliners :-P However, this Lakme eyeliner is a no. It smears down when applied on lower lid, and it smears pretty badly. I still prefer Lakme absolute ultimate kohl kajal. Hands down! And the second best for lower lid will be Lakme's eyeconic kajal. My advise is invest on other lakme eyeliners rather than this. Not getting this anymore when it finishes.  Rating: 2.5/5

Maryan

Image
Maryan   (tamil) – 2013 After Kundan last month, it is Maryan this month. I woudn’t say that Maryan is a totally different story, it is the same typical love story but Dhanush has performed very well in this movie. He has grown so far. The way he plays his role is just amazing. The emotions he showed us, the anger, the love. It is simply amazing! He is becoming a shining star. Also what a comeback for Parvathy Menon! Pheww!   The story starts in Sudan, Africa where Maryan Vijayan Joseph (Dhanush) was working for two years on a contract basis and the twist begins when his contract comes to an end and he decided to go back home, India. Maryan, a fisherman is very attached to the sea. He worships the sea and refuses to leave his home. The only reason he decided to leave everything behind is because of Panimalar (Parvathy Menon). Panimalar’s dad could not settle his debts and the he was given the choice to either settle his debts or get Panimalar married to Theekuri...

The Dowry Bride

Image
The Dowry Bride is my current read. I am just half way trough it. The book revolves about the issue of dowries which i believe is a huge problem in India. Thankfully, i don't see any brides getting burnt alive or murdered in Malaysia (touch-wood) because of dowry problems in any of the local newspapers. But i must say that this is a very serious problem. I don't see why the groom insist on receiving dowries. Don't you think, it's like the groom's side are buying the bride and the bride's side are selling off the daughter? It is a mindset that you cannot marry your daughter without dowry? Or is it the " i must marry someone with the package" attitude? It is a marriage. You can't buy love! I love watching satyamev jayate. I watch it on you-tube because we don't have the channel in Malaysia. It was so sad to see several brides being tortured just because of this dowry issue. And in some families, the bride's parents committed suicide because...

Pottu. Bindi. Thilak. Teep. Bottu.

Image
What comes to your mind when you hear bindi? yes, that tiny dot. Haha! I love bindi's (punjabi). It also called pottu (Tamil). Well, there are actually many names for it. Bengali's call it teep . Telugu's call it bottu and in hindi is it called thilak . During my recent trip to India i bought about 10 pieces of bindi. 10RS for one. So 10 pieces for 100RS which is MYR 6. Now, that is bloody cheap! In malaysia, one piece is sold at MYR 4 which is about 50-60RS. Imagine the profit these shop fellas are making! I always have this feeling that my face feels so empty if i don't have that tiny black dot in between my eyebrows. Apparently unmarried women wears black one and married ones wears a read one. I am pretty sure this is some olden days thinggie. That's it. Just felt like blogging about this. Yes, i know i am so random :-)

Peak-a-boo

Hello people! Blogging after ages and it feels good :-) Was kind of busy with uni and work. But no matter how busy i am, i will never leave twitter. Ha ha ha! So, how was your diwali? Mine was good. As the usual the yummy spicy indian food was the best. And not to forget fireworks. What is diwali without it na? haha! Also, my 15 days India trip is nearing. I am so excited for it. Weeeeeee! Need to start packing soon. And apparently when the world comes to an end, i will be in Goa. HA! Do you guys actually believe the world is really coming to an end? Well, probably something bad will happen like some natural disaster or something but i doubt it that the world would actually come to an end. We shall just wait and see. Less than a month more :-P
