Feed Your Skin: Jeju Cherry Blossom Jelly Cream #INNISFREE

I had received this as a trial kit from Innisfree. They were giving away these to their VIP customers :-) I started using this jelly cream as my night cream. I like how it feels and absorbs into my skin. 

It's a gel texture type and it does not make my skin sticky. It's perfect for people like me, who does not like that greasy feeling. It has a cooling and lightweight texture that creates a dewy, glowing complexion.

It's perfect for anyone who's still finding for a perfect face cream. I have my favourite regular one, so to be honest this wasn't too outstanding for me. 

However, it suited me well but since I have my regular face cream, i would not purchase this.

Since i have so many wedding coming up in the family, I've decided to post about some pre-wedding rituals in a Sri Lankan (ceylonese) wedding. It is also called as ponnuruku and the gold that is used to take the thali is melted at the bridegroom's house. Apparently this is an essential ceremony and it cannot be skipped. This ceremony normally occurs 5-7 days before the wedding. The groom presents the gold to the family's goldsmith to be melted in a clay pot. Why Does A Ceylonese Bride Wear A Veil?

So, why does a Ceylonese bride wear a veil? I myself don't know much about the tradition. I wasn't even aware of this until a few posts came up on Facebook. I don't any reason behind all the tradition that happens in a Ceylonese wedding. In a typical Ceylon wedding, the grooms sits on the manavarai (Canopy) through out the wedding. The brides comes in after the "rakshabandham" of the groom. Trust me, i don't even know what the hell is this. So apparently the bride and groom cannot see each other until he (groom) hands the bride her "Koorai" saree (wedding saree). That is the reason why a Ceylon bride wears a veil. The whole cost of the wedding falls under the bride's responsibility. Remember my earlier post about the gold melting ceremony? That is purely the responsibility of the groom's side. I was a little hesitant to purchase this because of the price. but after using it i understand why it's this pricey!  I have used few small bottles (10ml) and in the midst of one 75ML bottle. I have more than half a bottle left and i used it daily (night time).  I am very stingy with my usage, i use only 2 to 3 drops which is sufficient enough to cover my whole face and neck. I prefer to use my palm to apply it rather than a facial cotton. I feel i am wasting the essence if i use a facial cotton and i need to apply more drops onto it to cover my whole face.
