Make up #22 [Lips]: Lakme Enrich Satin Lipstick in M455

Wanted to try different shades of Lakme and i found this while i was scrolling Lazada. Decided to purchase it. Somehow the look differs from what they showed in Lazada. I felt the shade was darker when i got them.

However, i was not going to waste my money like that and decided to wear it to work and give it a try. To my surprise, my colleagues all said it was actually nice. It is something different that what i always use to work. I also did feel okay. It looks dark but it actually suited and gave me a different look. but i'll have to appy this colour lightly. Not few swipes darker like how i usually apply as this shade itself is already dark.


It will not be a repurchase for me as i would like to get different shades in this range once this colour finishes.

Since i have so many wedding coming up in the family, I've decided to post about some pre-wedding rituals in a Sri Lankan (ceylonese) wedding. It is also called as ponnuruku and the gold that is used to take the thali is melted at the bridegroom's house. Apparently this is an essential ceremony and it cannot be skipped. Why Does A Ceylonese Bride Wear A Veil?

So, why does a Ceylonese bride wear a veil? I myself don't know much about the tradition. I wasn't even aware of this until a few posts came up on Facebook. I don't any reason behind all the tradition that happens in a Ceylonese wedding. In a typical Ceylon wedding, the grooms sits on the manavarai (Canopy) through out the wedding. The brides comes in after the "rakshabandham" of the groom. Trust me, i don't even know what the hell is this. So apparently the bride and groom cannot see each other until he (groom) hands the bride her "Koorai" saree (wedding saree). That is the reason why a Ceylon bride wears a veil. The whole cost of the wedding falls under the bride's responsibility. Remember my earlier post about the gold melting ceremony? That is purely the responsibility of the groom's side. I was a little hesitant to purchase this because of the price. but after using it i understand why it's this pricey!  I have used few small bottles (10ml) and in the midst of one 75ML bottle.
