India's Daughter

Honestly speaking, banning of India's daughter does not bring any good. In fact, most of us would want to watch the documentary after it is banned. Read an open letter by a bangalorean girl to the defense lawyer, M L Sharma. Both the documentary and letter got me teared. The only thing Nirbaya wanted was to watch a movie with her friend before she starts work next week. What really pissed me off is the defense lawyers in the documentary. I am sure many of us wants to knock them down. How is a girl's fault that she wants to watch a movie? Just because she was with a guy at night, she can be raped? Are we just suppose to just stay indoors for the rest of our lives? Yes, we work late at nights, we hang our with our friends, we drink, we go clubbing but that does mean we sleep around with every men we know. Who are you o judge us? Who are you to look at us as a sex item, just to have sex. That poor girl (Nirbaya) had so many dreams. It all shattered just like that. And the rapist is blaming the victim for inviting to be raped. And i feel education will not solve this at all, as suggested in the documentary. The defense lawyers are educated but look at their mentality? Nirbaya's parents was not educated but they have a modern way of thinking. Kids should be thought about inequality from young itself.
That's it. Just feel like writing about the documentary ever since i watched it. Some may not agree with me, this is just my own opinion.
